Currently our school is in the process of transitioning from a subtractive transitional bilingual education towards an additive dual language model. Our dual language team was awarded a grant to fund our classroom libraries to increase the amount of Spanish and bilingual texts and also to include more books that represent student heritage cultures. Thank you for funding this project to aid us in organizing our libraries into inviting spaces to encourage a love of reading in our students. Our libraries will house a variety of genres and themes, series and author favorites and books in Spanish, English and bilingual books.
