Walking into a kindergarten classroom you expect to see the students engaged and active in their learning. The learning taking place requires materials and tools that kindergartners often have trouble storing and organizing. The seat sacks provide individual students a specific place for their own workbooks, folders, and papers. The nameplate desk stands not only provide a visual for them to distinguish their own personal space but also a place to keep tools such as a pencil, a highlighter or dry erase marker. These tools are easily accessible and quickly retrieved with the desk stands. A frequent statement heard throughout the day is "I can't find my--scissors, glue, paper." You name it and it has been lost within the four walls of my classroom. The amount of time taken to locate or replace these missing items adds up quickly. The basic organizational skills needed in life have to be taught to the youngest of students. Kindergarten provides endless opportunities to develop the ability to keep track of and store the daily supplies needed to learn and complete activities.
