My 4th-grade students need to develop more of an interest and love of reading! We use an ELA curriculum chosen for our school 5 years ago which is ok. I have heard many awesome reviews about Scholastic Storyworks Magazines over the years but have never used them. They provide rich and interesting content for 4-6 graders outside of the normal stories in our reading book. Unfortunately, Covid did a number on kids wanting to read for pleasure! I was the online teacher for my grade for 7 months (the hardest but one of the most rewarding years of my 29 in education) and students just did not want to read as they normally do. I am hoping Scholastic Storyworks brings back their love of reading this next school year!
