My student body lives in a very dynamic area. Florida, throughout geologic history, has been an ever changing slice of land that has been covered with water many times. The "land" itself is weathering under our feet and most do not understand why? Our future is going to involve many more sinkholes, the loss of our drinking water supply, sea level rising will cause the loss of our beaches and coastal communities. Our school is a college bound school where we are striving to just not attend a college or university but to excel in those surroundings. The better understanding and practical knowledge of our environment can only enhance each students "toolbag" with which they are going to rely on making decisions for their individual lives and the community in which they live.
