I strongly believe little learners absorb the most knowledge through art and creativity, hands on materials, and play based learning. The items I want to add to my classroom will be used in class during our station rotation hour. Students move from one subject area to the next and are able to choose items to “play” with to help facilitate their learning. Each week, we have a new theme and most of the manipulative materials change to go along with the theme. The items I’ve requested go with themes where I don’t have a lot of materials. My students love getting to play with new items in the classroom. It keeps them engaged and wanting to learn more.
