This teaching easel will impact my students' learning by making their reading and writing instruction interactive and multimodal. I will be able to effectively model a variety of skills for my students on the easel before encouraging them to participate in hands-on practice. Students will be able to build words with magnet letters, practice writing their letters, echo and choral read big books, etc. This teaching easel will enhance my ability to meet the needs of all students and provide learning experiences that greatly impact their literacy development. I will be able to differentiate instruction, allow students to learn from one another, as well as create memorable and positive reading experiences that build my students' love for books. Using this teaching easel will inspire my students to write short stories, read an extra book before bedtime, and grow in their learning.
