We will use this carpet as a community gathering place for our morning meetings, story time and whole group learning. It will allow us to more easily work together in community while the colored squares will give each student their own personal space. This will help them focus on learning rather than what their friend is doing. Having their own personal space makes students feel important and included in the larger community. It will also be a comfy place for students to read a book or work with a partner.

About my class
