Social Emotional Learning is an integral part of the 2021-2022 school year. Breath work along with mindfulness will provide a way to manage the stressors of in person learning. My goal is to turnkey the strategies I learn to my students. This will add another coping tool to my students lives. Breath work helps put the brakes on an acute stress response and diverts the health problems associated with chronic stress. The five common benefits of Breath work are to reduce stress, calm emotions, enables the body to relax, enhance focus, and increase body awareness , and self-control.
