All of my students want to learn more about robots, programming, and coding! I went to a STEM conference on Edison Robots and how young girls and boys can engage with robots by programming and coding their movements. I also use the story the Wild Robot to help them create their Edison robots (by building on the robots with LEGO) with personality, function, and missions. The children learn to create, explore, collaborate, communicate with peers and their robots, and reflect on their learning. STEM robots are a great way for me to build excitement during my robot/technology unit.
