Students in my FACS 8 class will read and discuss the story "The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse" written by Charlie Mackesy. An uplifting story, with wisdom, and life lessons to promote kindness and empathy. This story will give students skills to develop their social emotional learning and promote the importance of discussing emotions and the challenges that life may bring. Throughout the reading, students will work through activities, including compliment chains, kindness challenges, and goal setting opportunities. I am excited to read and discuss this book with my students this year and years to come.
