Each week my students will have the opportunity to spend time enjoying our media center. It is during this time that I have the opportunity to read to them, teach media curriculum lessons and allow them to check out books to enjoy for the upcoming week. The books on my wishlist are books that I have used to teach library curriculum and some are also new titles I hope to obtain for future lessons/book shares. In a new school like ours, I want to make sure we have enough books for each child. Having these books available at our school will expose the students to different cultures, seasons/holidays, technology, historical events, inventions, classic reads and talented authors! These books will be shared with the students during our library rotation time and for the students to check out and enjoy in their individual classrooms and at home. It is my hope that the students will be inspired by these book titles to achieve their own goals and aspirations!
