I am requesting comfy stools and a display teaching chart. The new seating will be used for small group reading. They will also use them to read with partners and independently. The easel will be used during circle time. My students will listen to read alouds, answer, and develop questions to increase their comprehension from the stories read to them. Another way the easel will be used is to introduce new concepts in reading and math, and to create thinking maps and anchor charts. Thinking maps and anchor charts are used to enhance and reinforce reading comprehension. The easel will also be utilized to organize reading resources for small group reading time and read alouds.
