Many 2nd grade students struggle with being seated in a normal chair for long lengths of time. The benefit from having the opportunity to get up and move. The variety of seating options will give my students the opportunity to try out multiple seating options and find what best works for them. They will be able to move and work around the room when not in direct instruction. This will also give the students different places they can work when they are working on a collaborative activity which is done often in our classroom.
