In my classroom, students have the ability to sit how they would like to sit to receive instruction in the most effective way possible for them! These items will help students get to move or utilize tools when trying to stay engaged during lessons. I am currently in process of switching the location of my classroom and it allows more room which helps provide space for the students that I serve. These seating options will take the place of older plastic chairs. The carpet will allow students to work on the floor if they wish to do so for their independent work. The swing will help some students who are emotionally or behaviorally struggling to seclude themselves and utilize their calming strategies without so many distractions. The fidget toys will allow students to choose an item that is just right for them that can help them continue to stay focused on the instruction within the classroom as well as provide calming strategies for students.
