I work at a title I, low-income school in a rural community. Most of my students have never been out of their community or out of the city. These students are hard working and dedicated. They come from excellent families that have limited resources which, in turn, limits their exposure to the world around them. These students have a thirst for knowledge and will thrive on the ability to share that knowledge with their friends and families. I am a part of a program called the Del Valle International Explorers. This program allows our students to travel all around the world. We have visited Costa Rica, England, and Puerto Rico. We are heading to Spain this year! This is a lifetime opportunity for these students. This year, I would like to provide this experience to students that normally wouldn't be able to afford this trip.

About my class
