To support their love and interest to read, these books will be responsibly taken home and returned by students through a classroom checkout system. These books will anchor book club conversations and give students a common ground for cooperative assignments and other projects. These books will also support language development in ELL homes and help to foster a literacy rich environment at home as well as school. I want reading to be an “anywhere and everywhere” activity for my students. Having books in the students’ hands “everywhere” is essential for their growth.

About my class
