These books will add to my classroom lessons about a variety of social-emotional and life topics, such as racial and socio-economic diversity, inclusion, homelessness, overcoming fears, and refugees. These books will be used as read-alouds, but also will be available for students to access on their own whenever they want. It is through reading rich literature and classroom discussions that students will begin to understand and appreciate all that there is in the world beyond our little town, and also how to deal with issues that may arise in everyday life.

About my class
