A new classroom carpet will create a space where my students can learn as a community. This one in particular will also help teach my special needs students about personal space. They won’t have to feel isolated from their peers as they may have at times in the past when I have had to use a duct tape square for them to know where their space is. This way they can feel more included and more a part of our classroom family. Our class as a whole can learn about personal space and learn to love others in a respectful way.
