Language acquisition is the basis of all learning. It helps develop problem solving skills, comprehension and communication skills. Unfortunately, in today’s times, children spend much of their day in front of tablets or a screen. My students begin their school year with low level vocabulary and poor communication skills. Dramatic play centers like the one that I am proposing, help children to improve their vocabulary and develop communication skills in a natural, non-threatening environment. Dramatic play centers allow my students to take an active role in their own learning by solving problems, improve their understanding and develop ways to communicate with others.
