The more children are exposed to a concept, the more familiarity is formed until it becomes built into their brain. After familiarity will come understanding and exploring. I want to build this familiarity with letters and sounds by integrating letters into every station my students use throughout our time together. I want letters to be on the wall, on the blocks, in the sensory bin, on the light-up table, and in dramatic play centers. Letter names and sounds will no longer be a file buried somewhere in kids' brains, but a familiar friend they see at school and can find at home.
