Professional development is VERY important to me. The professional book I'm reading, Building Thinking Classrooms in Math, talks about the importance of having kids work at vertical surfaces. With the double sided chart stand and the whiteboard space I have, I'll have enough vertical work space for ALL of my students. Sometimes we want to record our work on large sheets of newsprint. Color coding with colored pencils helps reinforce important concepts and gets the info to stick in their brains. These items will help me build a thinking classroom!

About my class
