My students need time to relax and independently read on a soft carpet. Due to tile floors, soft areas are limited. My students love to stretch out and read fun books! I feel the more chances that they are given to read, the better readers that they will become. They love to read all types of books and also enjoy sharing their books with their friends in class. I think that a soft area rug will be beneficial to each child. This will also help students that need more chances to move around and sit in different areas to relax.
