The novels and leveled texts used will be for guided reading groups. These reading groups will be effective in providing individualized and group collaboration to promote comprehension. Students will be able to interact with relevant texts and build on core skills in English II. This will give students access to connect to real world ideas. These novels will aid in starting valuable discussion and critical thinking among students Ultimately, these will serve my class by engaging students and creating lifelong readers through the encountering of characters that face real-life issues.
