Throughout the day there are a variety of computer programs that we use to enrich student learning. First grader's start to learn how to type, navigate google classroom, play group quizzes on Kahoot, and use curriculum math and reading district apps that are aligned with first grade standards we are learning in the classroom. Our student desks are small and limited on what they can hold. Once we fill them with their student anthologies, journals, student workbooks, and pouches, there isn't much extra space to fit their computers and headphones. In the past we have tried keeping them out on top of their desks throughout the day, but that becomes cumbersome and interferes with their work space. Having a separate storage for their computers and headphones will help not only stay organized, but protect the computers from being pushed and pulled out from their desks multiple times a day.
