As a High School teacher, it is imperative to choose books that students can relate to! Books that create diversity, deep thinking, and responsive opportunities for students at all levels! The two chosen books will be used in whole class settings as we explore and deep dive into the text together. By the time kids get to High School, reading is no longer important. These books will hook them in, provide deep meaningful and culturally significant discussions to lead into wanting to read more. I am making it my goal to hook them from the start!

About my class
