With these wonderful and engaging classic books, my students will have a variety of titles to choose from. This year, I will be conducting book clubs to promote teamwork, responsibility, initiation, collaboration, and most of all a love for reading! To best engage all learners, I want to provide them with new and different book options from a variety of grade levels and genres. By giving the students the autonomy to choose, they will be more accountable for their learning and interested in their book. Book clubs are a wonderful way to get students talking and thinking on a deeper level. They spark wonder and conversation while also giving them an important role to play. For many learners, this responsibility and the expectation to bring something to the table is what motivates them to read at home and at school!
