These books will help open students' minds to the diversity the world has to offer. They will be able to learn about similar situations to their own or one's unbeknownst to them. In addition, they will be able to see and read about children that look like them and struggle with situations like them. They will be able to read about topics of interest of them too. By having access to a variety of literary texts, students will be more likely to find a book they love.
