Like all students this year, mine struggled in numerous arenas, one of which was being forced to sit in the same seat with little to no movement (we must social distance, after all). For some students, sitting still seems an impossible feat. Some must move to learn. There are even those who cannot learn if they are being forced to sit still. They must use their bodies to sway or bounce, both of which actually help many students concentrate and produce their best work. I want to provide varied seating for some of my students who NEED to move in order to learn. One size does not fit all, so why is it assumed that one seat fits all?

About my class
