This novel set will be used in the classroom to support the integration of social studies, reading, and writing. My students will use these books year after year to help them learn about Washington State History in a way that allows them to make connections throughout the curriculum. My students love hands-on and interactive learning! This novel set will provide opportunities for whole class and small group discussions. Students will engage in several individual and group projects and activities around this novel and social studies content. This novel study will increase academic achievement by engaging students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening and encouraging critical thinking!
