This project is to help me set up my first classroom. As a first year teacher, I don't have a lot of materials to provide my students with a well-rounded classroom. While some materials were passed down to me from the teacher before, many items need replacing or upgrades. Some things in my project will be used for classroom organization. Other things will be used to motivate a desire to learn. After each lesson, we will have a short "brain break." Each student chooses an activity, game, or trip to the sensory path to take a mental break. This allows the students to regroup and not feel overwhelmed with work. Having an organized and fun learning environment will be a crucial element to having a successful school year. I want to provide students with new and exciting learning materials, and a place they want to return to every day.
