Flexible seating allows all students the chance to thrive in the classroom and give themselves an opportunity to take charge of their learning. Students will be able to choose the best option for them, whether that be bouncy balls, bean bag chairs, wobble stools or standing, to help them learn to the best of their abilities. Currently, only a few students at a time are able to choose flexible seating. This opportunity will allow all students to feel comfortable, which is the key component to motivation, and also excited to learn now that they have the ability to choose where and how they will do their best learning. I have noticed amazing differences in students when they are given a choice on how they will learn best. All students will be taught how to use each seat properly, will be more engaged, and will complete more work than when they are being forced to sit in a hard chair. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work, less disruptive, and more motivated when they are given a choice of where to work and what works best for them. The products that I have selected will create a comfortable environment where kids can be kids, while also succeeding. The wobble stools are adjustable and will allow students to sit at their comfortable height. The stools will be used for a higher table that will also allow students to stand, if that is what they prefer. I am asking for bouncy balls for those students who may need more movement than others. The comfy floor cushions and the green do-nut seating will allow those students who prefer to work on the ground a chance to succeed!
