I love finding new and engaging ways to use things that are new or popular items with kids to hook them into learning and really help them WANT to learn. I am wanting to purchase a class set of bubble poppers for my classroom. These poppers would be so fun to use during math to get students counting using one to one correspondence, adding and subtracting by popping bubbles, counting by 10s, and the one I'm most excited about is using it for phonemic awareness as kids push the bubbles for each sound in the words they are sounding out. These poppers will be helpful in refining their fine motor skills as they learn. There are a variety of other things we can use these bubble poppers for and I am looking forward to getting them in the hands of my students, almost like I am tricking them into learning!
