Flexible seating will allow for my students to feel in control of their learning! During independent work time I would like to give my students the opportunity to sit in different seating options to optimize their learning potential. When students are given choice in their seating, they take ownership of their learning and feel more excited about it!
The items that I have selected will help my students make better learning choices by giving them some variety and choice, choice helps students succeed by letting them be in control of their learning. The wobble stools will help students sit at different levels and allow some movement. These can be used as flexible seating or as an alternate chair. Additionally, the wiggle seats are a great option for wiggly students, and allow for alternate floor seating during independent work time. The classroom rug and rocking chair will allow us to do "rug time" as a classroom and bring all students together. This classroom rug will also be used for a flexible seating option.
I am confident that these seating options will allow my students to further succeed in their learning in the years to come!
