Students, regardless of age, need to refuel and reset to keep their brains engaged. Snacks and drinks provide a great pick me up in our environment! Not to mention during cold and flu season the utilization of our hot tea and coffee bar increases greatly; providing them with warmth security and restoration of their vocal chords! Having these items funded for our classroom would enable more students to find the choir room as a safe place to be and promote the educational importance of music in our schools. Often students stop in my room for a snack whether they are in choir or not.
