As an elementary school counselor, one of my primary goals is to help students succeed socially, emotionally, and academically. As students are returning to the school building, some students need more school supplies. Parents and/or guardians are trying their best to make ends meet and sometimes they just need a little help from others. My hope is for our students and families to find peace in knowing that they are not alone. By having these extra school supplies on hand, students and families can have one less thing to worry about. We all worry about different aspects of our lives and my goal for this project is to show students and families that they don't have to worry about school supplies. The supplies I have chosen are common supplies elementary school students tend to run out of the fastest. These are crayons, pencils, markers, and color pencils. These items will allow students the opportunity to explore and navigate the educational journey that they are on.
