I am a vibrant educator that loves to challenge and grow little minds to their fullest potential. I am currently an instructional coach that helps teachers curriculum plan. I also teach students during enrichment time to learn about broadcasting and media. Pursuing the National Board is extremely important because it helps unpack standards that are being taught to students and educates you on the theory behind the standards. After being an educator for 8 years in the classroom and transitioning into a coaching position, it is important to continue to learn and encourage others. I am passionate about creating instruction that meets the needs of all learners, not just the average student. Differentiation and specialized instruction helps to grow all students. I have an impact on teachers throughout the school and building my knowledge on instructional material through national board certification will help to strengthen the lessons that teachers are creating. Studies have shown that students taught by NCBT teachers perform better than students taught by non NCBT certified teachers. I believe that with this certification, it will have a huge impact on student learning throughout my learning community. In a leadership position not only will I impact students, but I will pave the way for other educators at my school and motivate them to pursue their National Boards.
