The materials I am choosing for this project will aide in meeting the many diversities of my students. I LOVE teaching through small groups. Many of the items within this project allow students to have flexible seating during those daily small group times. This will occur through the use of rugs and other flexible seating options. Not only does this atmosphere help students feel safe and comfortable during these work sessions, it aides in creating a family envioronment. My students love coming together through morning meeting where we focus on character building and social-emotional skills. The same items used for small group time, such as the rug and flexible seating options, will allow for a family-like experience.
