The vision is to transform our classroom into an environment where students feel comfortable, ready to learn and are actively engaged. I strongly believe in the power that an environment can have on a student. I want my students to be excited when coming to school. Incorporating flexible seating takes away the pressure as well as the stigma that being in school has. I want my students to fall in love with learning, and the very first step in achieving that goal is to create a home-like environment where kids feel safe, to speak up and be okay with making mistakes as they make their journey throughout the school year. This project will help me change the lives of many students by providing them with a memorable learning opportunity. Together we can Transform the Way We Learn! The futon will be used in my classroom library. The high table with benches, bean bag chairs, saucer chair, balance ball and stools will be used as alternate seating options. The folding table will be used as an option for my kiddos who like to stand for their activities.
