As students enter my classroom, I want them to feel loved, special and ready to learn in a rich environment. I care deeply for my students and, as a first year teacher, I hope to provide for their educational needs. The flexible seating chairs and rug will all be used and well-loved by my 2nd grade students. In the 21st century, student learning has been prioritized with regards to the unique and differentiated ways each child will find success. Providing my students with choices for their seating and spaces will allow them a sense of ownership in this learning process and higher engagement in lessons. I imagine allowing students to use these chairs throughout the day at desks, tables, in small groups, etc. The rug will be a hub for our class, a space where we can come to together to learn more about one another and soak up rich texts. The book bins, construction paper, sharpener, and drawer system are all classroom staples for achieving greater student achievement in a warm, welcoming environment. I want to be able to supply my students with high-quality learning tools each year, and these products are ensured to last over many years through many tiny hands. Thank you for your willingness to support the beginning of my teaching journey. This classroom will soon be filled with little minds ready to learn, and because of your support I can provide them with tools in order to achieve this goal.
