Students are required to use functions on the calculator for many problems. After the pandemic, we will go back to more of a hands-on approach and they will need calculators to help with complex operations. This will also eliminate the need to use the computer or phone as a calculator. With time limited to 55 minutes for assessment, students will not have enough time to make models in order solve problems. Having calculators will cut that time in half and give students more time to problem solve to find the correct answer.
