Students will have the opportunity to earn edible rewards which they will prepare and consume. This endeavor supports our token economy system within the school and offers the opportunity for elementary students to engage in pre-vocational skills by using kitchen appliances under supervision. Students have a week to earn a Fun Friday activity. On Friday afternoons, they would have the option to pop popcorn or to create another type of treat for their consumption using the new microwave. These types of activities help demonstrate the connection between the token economy system and the concept of reaping what you sow.
