As a first year teacher I am excited to build this classroom library. I will be teaching 4th grade and I would like to have books available to meet the needs of students at all levels of learning. I will be working with students with a variety of learning needs and hope to create a classroom library for everyone in our classroom community. Students need a diverse classroom library to excite them about reading. Studies show that students with high-quality classroom libraries will read at rates of 50 to 60 percent more than students with less access. In order to encourage reading and literary development, my project seeks to create an interesting and educational classroom library.
