The classroom I currently teach in is my own second grade classroom from 1994. Although the décor of the room has changed over the years, it still has the exact desks and chairs that I sat in over 27 years ago as a student! Due to years of use, the desks and chairs have missing screws and/or leg caps which often make them uneven and wobbly. The dark wood grain laminate tops are also worn and outdated. I want my students to take pride in our home away from home and to feel comfortable while they are learning each day. I believe that begins with new seating for all my students. The desks and chairs you would be funding have a light gray top that could be used with dry-erase markers during lessons. The hooks on either side of the desks could be utilized for headphones, book bags or even jackets. They also come with anti-slip floor caps to prevent from slipping and reduces noise. Having these desks and chairs will make a huge difference for my students as well as myself. I greatly appreciate your support.
