Our school is trying to bring literacy to every classroom. This is not just some boring book these kids will trudge through every day: this is an adventure! By donating to our project, you will help our students realize that Reading to Learn is not just an English class quest, it applies to every subject; even Shop Class! We need to learn about how to our world works. This book will help us get there! Our students will read The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and explore a third-world country where poverty and famine help a boy, and eventually his country, imagine and build their way to a better future! This learning experience will help us see that despite our great fortune here, we too can build a better world, starting right here in our community.
