Hello! I am Mrs. Mosser-Heil and I teach first grade. I’m going into my 14th year of teaching (I can’t believe where the time flew). My class at Neil Armstrong Elementary is the math and science. Half of my day is with gifted students and other other half is with gen. ed. I enjoy both groups - they always keep me on my toes and keep my teaching interesting as I meet their needs throughout the year. While my subjects are math and science, I still integrate reading in both areas. I enjoy bringing read-alouds out that correspond with our content. I also provide reading intervention for Tier 2 and Tier 3 through WIN and iii. The majority of my students are low-income and after the devastation of Hurricane Ian this past school year, my students and their families are in great need; so I do my best to give my students the safe, creative, and engaging space they need.
