Students will explore structure design by participating in Lego challenges to meet certain criteria for each project. We will re-enact the competition game show that elevates the level of Lego building that we are accustomed to. The parameters of the challenges will be laid out for teams of students to complete the task. Throughout the project, connections to academic content will be made, as well as extensions to real-life scenarios for civil engineering design. This club will foster team-building, problem-solving, math and communication skills, and increased interest in engineering fields.
