The materials being asked in this project will help students see complex lessons materialize in front of them. Instead of just worksheets and demonstrations, the students will be given an opportunity to work creatively on their own and to also have a little bit of fun along the way (i.e. Space bingo set). Most of the materials will also demonstrate how the lesson relates to their own livelihoods. The calorie counter needed will explore thermodynamics and the types of food we eat. Besides, a lot of my students love the sight of fire and after being behind screens all year, they are itching to get their hands on lab equipment.
