My students will be learning improv, public speaking, enunciation and dialect. The previous theatre teacher's items were destroyed or damaged during construction. At the moment, there is nothing distinguishing it as a theatre class except what I have purchased. We have no equipment associated with theatre and the speakers I do have are not adequate for a large classroom. The skills they will learn will increase their ability to speak during college and job interviews and public speaking in general as well as increase their concentration. I want their day to be fun and enjoyable again as we move past the uncertainty of the last 17 months and face head on to what is still ahead.
