My students will rebuild shattered relationships with peers and educators in order to have a solid foundation of reassurance and safety to be open to learn new content and close the gaps from distance learning. Reconnection is the key to commitment to the grit needed for regression and remediation. These games will provide learning breaks to rebuild those relationships. There are games that boost language and communication such as You've Been Sentenced and Taboo. There are also games to increase critical thinking skills such as Clue and Sequence. And whole classroom games that teachers can modify to split the class into teams for assessment such as Jumbo Jenga and Jumbo Connect 4.
