Students need physical representations of STEAM products so they can understand what engineers and scientists do. Before, students have only seen basic STEM challenges like marshmallows and toothpicks. 3D printing will allow students to design, coding, and engineering exposure like they've never had before. Students in the school will have a Maker Space area with the 3D printer where mine and other classes will be able to have an area designated just for STEAM projects. This Maker Space area will allow students a creative outlet to gain experience on real-world applications for creating objects used to enhance their learning. Possible products of students will be 3D molecules, maps, artifacts, shapes, and more to help further engage students in their learning.
